Comparing Broadband – Easier Than You Think!

I have recently moved to a new flat with my wife and kids. The consequence of the move has been unexpected. If i may explain – we had thought it would be easy to pack up and go. But the amount of paperwork and administration was huge, from the switching of the electricity and gas, to the council tax and water rates I had never thought about how much we all have running in the background at the place where we live. Changing it over for someone like me that doesn’t like forms or dealing with people on the phone was daunting.

The biggest headache for both me and my wife was the broadband. We have a very good friend that is more at home with a computer than people and he set us up at the last house. He unfortunately has emigrated to New Zealand! I actually phoned him to find out if he was coming back any time soon so he could help us again. He said not for a year or so! But he did explain the basics of how to find a good cheap broadband deal. So for those of you that are like me this is what he said. Don’t do it manually it will take for ever. Use a broadband comparison website, what’s one of those I hear you cry, well it allows you compare broadband deals of loads of companies at the same time. As a non techie person i found the whole thing a breeze. Not only did the website compare all possible deals in my area, without me having to know anything except m y address and postcode. It also arranged the contract and allowed me to request an engineer to come out from the broadband company to set it up. All in all I couldn’t have done it on my own. We have got it installed now and it works fantastically.
